Scientology opened its new downtown Detroit headquarters; Nation of Islam’s Farrakhan links climate change with reparations; and eight candidates are running for Detroit’s public school board.
Farrakhan reiterated his belief that Jews operate the entertainment industry and churn out negative portrayals of black people in an evil plot to control the world.
“Suppose that the 500,000 blacks in Detroit decided this this is our city, this is our home, and we are not going to let buzzards take it from us,” Farrakhan said to thundering applause.
