Renisha McBride, 19, was in a car crash and seeking help when she knocked on the man’s door at 2:30 a.m. last week.
Calling the shooting “urban terrorism,” Detroit Police Chief James Craig said the suspect was wearing full body armor.
Gunfire rang out on Detroit’s west side shortly before 1 p.m. today, killing two and critically injuring another.

Police said the the 21-year-old woman, who is a few months pregnant and was a passenger in the car, was shot in the body after turning down sex from the driver on West Fort.
By the time the gray BMW came to a rest in an abandoned lot along Gratiot, two people were fighting for their lives and the passenger was running with a gun this afternoon.
The victim was 32-year-old Jennifer Ann Scavone of Sterling Heights, police said today.
