An anti-union group is erecting billboards in Tennessee that show the crumbling Packard Plant next to the words, “Detroit. Brought to you by the UAW.”
Behind the campaign is the Center for Worker Freedom, which is waging a fight against UAW efforts to unionize Volkswagen’s Chattanooga plant.
Another sign reads:
UNITED OBAMA WORKERS: The UAW spends millions to elect liberal politicians including BARACK OBAMA
The campaign is funded by anti-tax activist Grover Norquist.
The idea is “to warn the residents of Chattanooga about the terrible economic legacy and the left-wing political nature of the United Auto Workers,” a news release reads.
