2. The Fillmore

It’s known for bringing in world-renowned musicians and top-of-the-line acoustics. With a seating capacity of 2,888, the Fillmore was built in 1925 and designed by C. Howard Crane, the architect of the Fox Theatre next door. The Fox Theatre might be larger, but the Fillmore is much more accessible for live music.

Between the classic Italian Renaissance architecture, antique chandeliers and consistency of talented bands, it remains one of the best places to see shows in town. The Fillmore has hosted famous performers such as David Bowie, Bob Dylan, Black Sabbath, Prince, Radiohead, Grand Funk Railroad, The Ramones, Rage Against the Machine and many more.
