Detroit’s M-1 Rail is beginning to take shape in downtown Detroit.
On some sections of Woodward, crews have laid tracks and paved the road. Other areas will be finished next year.
Work on Woodward will end just before the Thanksgiving Parade, which will follow its normal route.
M-1 Rail will eventually stretch from downtown to New Center. Work started downtown and is moving north.
These photos begin south on Woodward and proceed north.
