The shooting death of a 19-year-old man shut down the popular Cinco de Mayo Parade in Detroit today.
The teen was shot in a crowded area of Vernor near Ferdinand at about 1 p.m. as revelers scattered or looked on in horror.
Police took a 24-year-old into custody, but it wasn’t immediately clear whether he was the shooter. He appeared to be licensed to carry the weapon, police said.
Authorities said the shooting was over an argument between the victim and the shooter’s family.

“There was one loud bang, and people were running all over the place,” said Lucas Sanchez, who was among more than 20,000 people who participated in the 3-mile parade. “I was hoping it was a fire cracker but you could see (the victim) laying in the street. Just terrible.”
The victim was rushed in a squad car to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police cleared the street to make way for a fire truck to hose blood from the street.
The parade was canceled, but a few vendors stuck around as some revelers continued to celebrate, seemingly unaware of the shooting. buy zithromax online https://bethanyhealthcare.org/wp-content/languages/new/zithromax.html no prescription
