Gov. Rick Snyder, whose mishandling of Flint’s water crisis has provoked international condemnation, is one of the world’s 19 most disappointing leaders, according to a list compiled by Fortune Magazine.
The magazine asks readers for their choice of the most disappointing leader, and Snyder is in second place, narrowly behind Dilma Rousseff, the disgraced Brazilian president who may soon be impeached for a corruption scandal.
As of Thursday evening, Snyder received about 4,300 votes, only 200 behind the Brazilian president.
No one else was even close. The third most disappointing leader was Martin Shkreli, the vilified former biotech executive, who had 696 votes.
It’s not too late to cast your vote.
“We rounded up some of the biggest fumbles by politicians and business executives over the past year and assembled a list of the World’s 19 Most Disappointing Leaders, Fortune wrote. “But we want to know, which one is the most disappointing. It’s your turn to decide.”
Snyder is undergoing a recall effort, and petitions began circulating on Easter.
