Old Wayne County Building in downtown Detroit finds new owner

The Farbman Group has been trying to find a new owner since Wayne County vacated the Beaux Arts-style building in 2009 to move into another historic gem, the Guardian Building.

The newly formed 600 Randolph SN LLC is buying the 112-year-building and an adjacent parking lot for $13.5 million. The sale needs final approval from the county, which is expected soon.

It’s unclear what the investors plan to do with the building, which originally was the Wayne County Courthouse.
