Video: Watch artists paint tribute to graffiti giant Nekst on Detroit museum

A new video shows street artists in Detroit recently paying tribute to Nekst, one of the world’s most prolific street artists, on the exterior of the Museum of Contemporary Art on Woodard.

This summer, artists came to Detroit and used striking red, chrome and black colors to paint the murals, which were done to resemble Nekst’s unique stylings.

Nekst’s untimely death at the age of 33 last year has spurred a long line of tributes in cities where the Texas native had loved to paint – Detroit, New Orleans, San Francisco, Los Angeles and New York City.
