The victims, ages 15, 17, 20 and 20 and all resident of Detroit, were taken to St. John’s Hospital and are expected to recover.

Scoping out the nightclub at 12121 Gratiot between E. Outer Drive and Houston Whittier, officers and members of the Murder and Gang Narcotics Enforcement Team (MAGNET) were pursuing a man who fled a car near the club and then shot at police. Officers returned fire, but no one was injured.

“It was within minutes of the officers leaving the area to assist their fellow officer that the two rival gangs began to fight inside of the club, ending the night before the rap crew could even start their show,” Detroit Police Sgt.
