More than three inches of rain fell on Detroit today, causing severe flooding that left dozens of motorists stranded on side streets and freeways.

Motor City Muckraker drove around the city’s east side to capture the rising water.

Many people could reach their homes because of the flooding on side streets.

More torrential rain is expected to fall tonight and Friday morning.
