Update: Investigators believe an accident caused the fire.

Detroit firefighters discovered four bodies Tuesday night inside a burning car on I-96 on Detroit’s west side, and an arson squad was en route to investigate.

Firefighters were called to a car fire on eastbound I-96 near Wyoming at 10:56 p.m.

They reported finding three people who were dead upon arrival.

Engine 53 arrived within six minutes of the call, and Squad 5 responded within 10 minutes.
