The other beating: 3 arrested in racially charged attack on Army vet in Westland

Westland beatingWhile most of the media obsessed over the brutal beating of a white driver in Detroit late last week, they all but missed a far more obvious case of racism: Three men viciously beat an Army veteran while calling him a “N—er Lover” outside of a 7-11 in Westland on Thursday.

Police have arrested the three suspects, who are expected to soon be charged by the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office.

On Thursday evening, a group of three men spotted Adam Wagner, 25, outside of a 7-11 at S. Venoy Road and began harassing him when they noticed he was a veteran. They shouted homophobic and racial slurs at him because the military allows gay and black people to serve, police said.

The group beat Wagner so viciously that he had to crawl with swollen eyes to get help. The thugs broke his nose, split his lip and kicked him in the head while he was in a fetal position, police said.

Wagner said the racial slurs got to him because his best friend in the Army was black and saved his life.

He is expected to make a full recovery.

The suspects, who have not been identified by name yet, are in their 20s.

“The Westland Police Department would like to thank the public for their assistance in identifying these three subjects,” a police statement read. “Both tips from the public and a thorough police investigation by detectives resulted in their capture. buy doxycycline online https://www.mabvi.org/wp-content/languages/new/doxycycline.html no prescription
