Hoekstra released a radio ad this week accusing the Obama administration of leaking classified national security information, calling the unknown leakers “amateurs” and “traitors.”
Not long ago, Hoekstra was on the hot seat for sharing classified information when he was the former chairman of the House Intelligence Committee. He’s accused of revealing confidential information on at least four occasions and posing potential harm to American soldiers and homeland security.
So what gives?
The Michigan Democratic Party launched a new website to highlight Hoekstra’s own intelligence leaks.
“Pete Hoekstra has repeatedly been ridiculed in the national media for leaking sensitive information, making this most recent ad breathlessly hypocritical,” said Mark Brewer, Chair of the Michigan Democratic Party. “Time and again, Hoekstra has acted with incompetence when it comes to keeping sensitive national security information secret and has shown he can’t be trusted.
