“The public needs to be assured that scarce taxpayer resources are not being used for other questionable purposes,” said Senate Democratic leader Gretchen Whitmer.
This year’s goal was to hold public officials accountable and shed light on underserved neighborhoods.
The Detroit City Council president also pledged to “help you a lot” in college for more videos.
“People in their hearts, they’re hurt,” Grosse Pointe Park spokesman Greg Bowens said of the videos.
“If we don’t show up in force and demand that this type of behavior should not be tolerated, we might as well rewind the clock to the 1950s,” Daryl Brown said.
Most of the racist videos are shot from squad cars while African American men were told to sing or dance. One of the subjects was even in the back of police cars.
Dillon’s secretary denies having intimate relationship with the treasurer.
Dillon’s wife was threatening to expose the Democrat for sending her racially charged text messages.
“One night my dad came into my room and told me I would have a new black dad,” his daughter said. “From there, things escalated.”
