Romeo Police officers were captured on video forcing their way into a home without a warrant Friday, arresting a man and woman who demanded the cops leave.
It’s a remarkable step for a police department that was under fire after cops killed nearly 50 people between 1995 and 2000. At least six were unarmed and shot in the back.
Heavily armed police used smoke bombs and tear gas t0 disperse crowds, arrested reporters and pointed rifles at crowds.
The video shows police restraining the woman because she didn’t want jail officials to cut out her weaves, which were sewn into a braid on the back of her head.
The doors flung open, and three men emerged with guns drawn. Am I getting robbed? I don’t want to die – not yet. I’m not even 35.
