Detroit cops accused of stealing evidence from medical marijuana dispensary

Jar of pot

Six Detroit cops have been suspended with pay following accusations that they stole evidence from a medical marijuana dispensary operating out of a house on the west side, police confirmed Thursday.

One sergeant and five officers were removed from the narcotics unit as police conduct a wider internal investigation of the department’s beleaguered narcotics section.

During the February raid, surveillance video captured police removing a box that was never logged as evidence.

Now Internal Affairs is trying to determine what happened to the box and what was inside.
