Two charged with torture, murder of Livonia teens shot execution-style in Detroit

It was a cold, gruesome murder.

Two teenagers, both from Livonia, were forced to kneel, wearing nothing but T-shirts and underwear in an overgrown field near the Coleman A. Young Airport on the city’s east side.  They were shot execution-style in the back of the head.

Their decomposing bodies were found about a week later on July 27, 2012 near Lyford and Lynch.

Police and the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office never gave up. Today, two men were charged with the robbery, torture, imprisonment and murder of Jacob Kudla, 18, and Jourdan Bobbish, 17.

Charged were Fredrick K. Young, 25, of Detroit and Ferlando D. Hunter, 23, of Jackson. The face up to life in prison if convicted.

Authorities didn’t divulge details of the investigation.
