Part 2 of 3: Photos of protesters taking to the streets at the DNC in Philadelphia

Second of three parts

Protests continued at the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia as people took to the streets to support causes ranging from a political revolution to civil rights.

Local photojournalist Emily Lockhart captured these images outside of the convention Wednesday.

Several people were arrested Wednesday night after protesters charged a gate around the perimeter of the convention. But a vast majority of the protesters were peaceful.

Lockhart also will be covering the rallies today – on the final day of the convention.
