Petitions to remove Gov. Rick Snyder from office for mishandling the Flint water crisis will begin circulating statewide on Easter Sunday.

But it won’t be an easy task.

Organizers have 60 days to collect at least 789,133 valid signatures.

Training sessions are available at 7729 Rosa Parks in Detroit.

Beginning Sunday, the petitions will be circulated at churches and other areas across the state.

The Board of State Canvassers approved the recall petition, which calls for removing Snyder based on his own statement during the State of the State address in which he took responsibility for the crisis, which resulted in thousands of people being poisoned by elevated levels of lead and other contaminates.

Organizers are training volunteers to gather the signatures at 7729 Rosa Parks. Training will continue at 11:30 a.m., 2:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. on every day but Sunday.

I live in rural area in Northern Mi How do I get some petitions to sign and get signed?

Its unfortunate that this already bad situation is about to be compounded by opportunistic people with a broader political agenda. There have been efforts by the left to remove Snyder since Day 1. Despite how I may have voted, I have to admit, the Michigan economy and budget have recovered much faster than I expected, and as much as I hate to admit it… Snyder turned out to be an overall good Governor.

Yes was it because of anything the Governor did ? I mean why do you think it was him and not Obama?

      • javierjuanmanuel

What did obama do to help the economy?

Admit it, you think he lowered gas prices, despite new regs, new regs for diesel, banning drilling all over the place, and being against the pipeline.

Obama hates business, only credit he gets is being smart enough to know he needs business to create wealth, so he can give it away.

Look at the TPP if you think obama cares about america, or growing our economy

What is it with you man? I was just asking him a question. I never said it was Obama. most people think it is politics that change prices. for the most part it is very wealthy CEO types trying to make more money for they stock holders. But if you want to look a the hard facts, Is the economy or is it not better now under the Democrats than it was under the republicans. and I mean over all. I still think it is the CEO s more than politics.

What did Obama do? Saved the auto industry. That’s the only reason Michigan has seen any economic recovery.

There are so many people upset by this mess. I think sixty days is plenty of time. But as I also stated before, is this what we really want? You all know who’s up to bat next if Snyder is booted right. I don’t think he is much of a choice,do you?

Could you even TRY not to be such an obvious Snyder stooge?

      • Donald E. Hodge

Sorry, it must have been my poor potty training that brought me to this highly intellectual out come. Thank you for noticing.PS BMs baby.

I don’t think Calley is THAT much worse than Snyder is… they’re both cut from the same Koch/DeVos/Mackinac cloth. Snyder showed he wasn’t the moderate he pretended to be during his first year.

Being “afraid” of what comes after Snyder isn’t the right remedy.

A recall should be just the start of brooming the rest of the elected creeps responsible for the EM and all the other “referendum proof” laws enacted out of office.

      • Donald E. Hodge

Oh I very much agree. Bur if that does happen, Snyder will be the only one going. I mean it`s not a hit list. Fear? Never.
