Updated at 12:20 p.m. Monday.

A Detroit pastor pulled out a handgun and killed a brick-wielding man during a church service Sunday on the city’s west side.

Police said 26-year-old Deante Smith tried to attack the pastor with a brick at the City of God church on Grand River near Lahser at 1:45 p.m. The pastor, whose name was not released Sunday, responded with gunfire.

Police said they are looking into allegations that the pastor was having an affair with Smith’s wife.

Smith was shot four or five times and was pronounced dead at a hospital, police said.

The pastor was questioned, and police said they plan to submit a report to the prosecutor’s office to determine if a crime was committed.

Gun toting… What an insult. That gun saved his life. What a joke of a story here. That man saved his own life by taking another. Sad but true, he lives today because of a gun. This has to be the most liberal left “news site” in Michigan.

Why did you go there? These were all black people, why did you not go ” black lives matter”.

Or mock the black female cheating on her husband with the pastor?

      Odd choice.

sure, brick-gun, wonder who had the upper hand?

There is a lot more to this story. The pastor may have got the man with brick wife pregnant.
