Somehow no one was seriously injured when a crash caused a tanker to explode on I-75 at the border of Detroit and Dearborn, potentially causing structural damage to the freeway.
Black plumes of smoke billowed from the crash scene, where a gray sedan also burned.
Firefighters said the motorists escaped the vehicles before the explosion.
The Michigan Department of Transportation is inspecting the road to determine whether it was structurally damaged.
