Take a peek inside Detroit’s new HopCat, which opens Saturday

Hopcat, a craft brew bar and entertainment venue, opens to the public Saturday in Detroit.

And it will be unlike anything in Midtown.

The two-story bar at Woodward and W. Canfield is surprisingly spacious, with a bar and restaurant seating on the first floor and a stage, bar and restaurant seating on the second floor, which also has a deck. The second-floor venue is big enough to accommodate 400 people.

The exterior is adorned with artfully crafted murals by local street artists.

We got a sneak peak Friday night during a VIP event.
