Two Detroit firefighters, civilian injured in crash on east side

Engine 56 quarters

Two Detroit firefighters and a civilian were injured this afternoon and sent to the hospital after a fire engine crashed on the east side.

The accident occurred at the intersection of E. Robinwood and Joseph Campau at 1:28 p.m.

Details of the crash and severity of the injuries weren’t immediately clear.

The injured civilian and firefighters from Engine #56 were taken to Detroit Receiving Hospital. Engine #56 is stationed at 18601 Ryan Rd.
