Detroit firefighters battle large Palmer Park mansion fire

Detroit firefighters are battling a large fire at a mansion in Palmer Park late this evening.

The fire broke out in a castle at 17363 Pontchartrain Blvd. at about 10:40 p.m.

Two extra engines were called to the blaze.

At 11 p.m., firefighters were inside the mansion attacking the flames.

The fire was extinguished about an hour later.
