Detroit cop suspended for theft is charged in alcohol-fueled car crash

Detroit Police officer Dana Bond has found herself on the other side of the law – again.

Bond is accused of causing the accident while off-duty near Plymouth Road and Memorial Street on Sunday afternoon.

Turns out, Bond also is awaiting trial on retail fraud charges after she was accused of stealing wine and food from a store on the 1100 block of Warren on Aug. 19.

The trial is set for April 15.

Bond faces up to a year in jail on one of the fleeing charges, the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office said today.

She is expected to be arraigned this afternoon,
