DetroitElections.com is one-stop site for candidate info

Decision detroitWith more than 80 candidates for mayor, city council, clerk and police commissioner, Detroiters have plenty of choices in this year’s election.

But learning about each candidate can induce a headache.

So we did the work for you. Today, we launch www.DetroitElections.com, a one-stop site for all election-related information. You’ll find the candidates’ positions on various issues and their phone numbers and websites.

When any candidate shows up in the news, the story or TV clip is automatically updated to the site. So check back often for updates.

This, like Motor City Muckraker, is an objective, non-partisan source of information designed to empower the electorate.

Much more information will be added over the next two weeks.

If you find any errors or want to add information about a candidate, please let us know at detroitelections@gmail.com.

We hope you find it useful.

  • Here is a comment on FB asking that you include write in candidates for City Council.

Ken Whittaker Yes and no. Only write in candidate there is Duggan. There are write-ins for council as well, so this isn’t complete.

    • Thank you, Steve! I will look for information about Ken Whittaker and other write-ins. I agree that it is important for all candidates to receive equal opportunity for exposure to their constituents.

ETA: Thanks for the tip! Looks like we would have broken the story if I’d seen your message earlier!
