But it’s unclear whether Wallace has talked to Pugh, who has been missing since his office issued a notice Tuesday that the president would be on sick leave for three to four weeks. He disabled his social media accounts and isn’t answering phone calls. Emergency Manager Kevyn Orr is calling for him to return or resign.

On Facebook, Pugh’s friend, Christian Beatty Wallace, wrote: “all over the news reports are stating that he has disappeared he has not I know Charles he loves Detroit and its people he might just need some time to process all that has occurred in Detroit. Charles gets alot of criticism in all aspects of his life give the brother a break he’ll return.”

We’ll update the search for Pugh throughout the day.
