Detroiters attack, shoot mentally ill homeless man asking for cigarette

Police_DetroitA homeless man was attacked by three men and shot several times in the back Saturday afternoon for asking for a cigarette on the city’s west side.

The suspects, who casually walked away after the attack, are on the loose.

The victim, a 38-year-old homeless man with mental problems, was listed in good condition and is expected to survive.

The victims are described as black males between 18 and 20 years old.
