Man stabbed on Detroit bus for standing too close to another rider, police say

A passenger on a DDOT bus stabbed and critically injured another rider for standing too close to him Wednesday night, police said.

The victim, in his 30s, was rushed to a local hospital where his fate remains unknown.

The attacker, who fled the bus, was quickly tracked down by police.

Details of the stabbing were murky this morning, but police said the attack occurred near Woodward and John R.

Despite reports that the victim had died, hospital officials confirmed this morning that he is in critical condition.
